The Genuine Sliding Quantifact

"Tim Armstrong developed his interest in moving patterns at the Slade School of Art 1967 - 69.  His kinetic works were exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions, the Paris Salon, "British Movements '69" at the Berlin Onnasch Gallerie, and in the exhibition of British kinetic art "Light in Movement" at Bromsgrove, Birmingham."

"In 1977 the Scottish Arts Council commissioned him to paint two murals, each of 2000 square feet, for the Gable Ends Scheme in Glasgow."

From 'Make Moving Patterns' by Tim Armstrong, Tarquin Publications, 1982.

    1. It is! Did you ever make the mobile or the quantifact? I would but I don't want to destroy the book - I'm tempted to get another copy for that purpose. [edit, 5 secs later: just ordered one :)]
